Ms. Kon is a Malaysian Citizen who was called to the New Zealand Bar in May 1991, the West Malaysian Bar in May 1992, the East Malaysia Bar in November 1994, and the Brunei Bar in March 1996.
She is an Associate Member of the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators, a member of the Sarawak Mediation Centre, and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK.
Before joining this Firm, Ms. Kon practiced in both East and West Malaysia.

Ms. Kon has 27 years at the Brunei Bar, and she is admitted as an Insolvency Practitioner in Brunei registered and certified by the Ministry of Finance in Brunei.

Anna Lim-Saikawa is the Firm’s Office Manager. She has worked at Rudi Lee, Annie Kon & Associates for more than 24 years. Anna oversees the day-to-day administrative functions of the Firm and serves as a liaison with the Firm’s office services, human resources, information systems, accounting, and records management.
Anna brings years of experience to her role as Office Manager. She has served in various administrative roles and legal experience throughout her career at the National Bank of Brunei Berhad and Abrahams, Davidson & Co from 1993 to 1999. Anna’s training and experience and her focus on quality client service enable her to assist in providing superior client experience for those we represent.
Anna completed her Diploma in Administration at Cambridge Tutorial College, Jersey, Britain.

Mardiana completed her Bachelor of Law (LLB) and Bachelor of Shariah Law (BSL) degree from Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) in 2017 and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Brunei Darussalam in 2020.
Mardiana started and completed her pupillage with the Firm. During the 9 months period of the pupillage, she was involved in conveyancing including drafting and preparing legal documents, meeting with clients, conducting research, handling clients’ financial records, and dealing with the bank and other lawyers. She also assisted other lawyers in litigation cases, debt collections, company incorporation, and contractual and criminal matters.

Ms. Aziemah is a Bruneian citizen who was called to the English Bar in 2017 and admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Brunei Darussalam in 2019.
Ms. Aziemah joined the Firm in 2018; she completed her pupillage with Rudi Lee, Annie Kon & Associates, and continued to stay with us as a Litigation lawyer. During her Pupillage, Ms. Aziemah assisted Mr. Rudi Lee. He is now our Consultant and other lawyers in the firm in civil cases involving debt collections, company incorporation, contractual and probate matters, and criminal matters involving arson, assaults, drug consumption, cheating, forgery, and immigration offenses.
Before she joined the Firm, Ms. Aziemah worked in a private holding company. This company owns Brunei’s government-linked companies in various sectors of the economy, including aviation, telecommunications, power utilities, logistics, agribusiness, food and beverage, leisure and tourism, medical, education, hospitality, and real estate. Her work involves advising, preparing legal documents, drafting, and attending Annual General Meetings and Board of Director Meetings of her portfolio companies that involve specifically the food and beverages and leisure and tourism sector.

Mr. Calabazaron has a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. He was admitted as a Solicitor in NSW, Australia in February 2008, a Barrister in NSW, Australia in April 2013, and admitted as a Solicitor in Brunei in 2019.
Mr. Calabazaron also has a Bachelor of Law Degree from San Beda College, Philippines. He is admitted as a lawyer in the Philippines in 2003.
Mr. Calabazaron has extensive legal practice in Australia, the Philippines, and Brunei. As a Barrister in Australia, Mr. Calabazaron practiced Immigration Law, Family Law, Criminal Law, Estate Law, and Civil Litigation. He was the only Filipino lawyer practicing as a Barrister in Sydney, Australia. Prior to joining this Firm, Mr. Calabazaron practiced law in both the private and public sectors in the Philippines.
